At AgroBank Tech Digital INNovation we look for the best ideas and technological solutions to transform the agri-food sector through open innovation.
Join the agricultural impulse!
AgroBank Tech Digital INNovation is an indirect open innovation program in which, with the experience and knowledge of AgroBank and Innsomnia, eight major strategic challenges are proposed to respond to the needs of the agri-food sector.
AgroBank Tech wants to position itself as the main reference in digitalization throughout the value chain of the agricultural industry to boost its competitiveness and sustainability.
Innsomnia is an accelerator, specialized in digital co-creation processes between technology startups, corporations and SMEs, has exhaustively analyzed the main needs of the top 100 companies in the agricultural sector to pose the strategic challenges that this industry requires.
AgroBank is CaixaBank business line specialized in agri-food activity and a leader in the sector.
million euros of financing in 2021
agro customers within this ecosystem (1 out of every 2 farmers in Spain)
AgroBank managers make up its human capital
rural offices throughout Spain
The purpose of this global call is to create the largest Agro Innovation and Digitization community in Spain to encourage the recruitment of AgroTech talent through international relations arising from the network of incubators distributed throughout the world. The main objective is to accelerate its growth and transfer the best solutions developed by startups and scaleups to the large corporations in the sector.
In this process, AgroBank Tech Digital INNovation will advise technology startups and SMEs and analyze their evolution on an ongoing basis. At the end of the program, a report will be issued on the status of the project in which the advantages of its application and the degree of disruption will be verified, which in turn will serve as a quality certificate for startups and will allow them to present their proposals to the top100 of the leading companies in the sector.
"This program is a certification value of quality and trust for startups and technological companies"
Definition of the sectoral challenges through the analysis of the needs of the top 100 companies and corporations that drive the agribusiness sector.
Selection and evaluation of the 15 best projects in order to meet the needs of companies and expand their degree of maturity (TRL).
Presentation of the most innovative and disruptive solutions of the incubation and acceleration process to the top 100 companies and corporations in the agribusiness sector.
Innovative and disruptive solutions that improve precision agriculture through the use of collaborative technologies and tools for process automation (comprehensive software, implementation of video surveillance systems, autonomous robots for harvesting crops or the use of intelligent and connected sprayers for control of weeds).
Tools focused on innovation, efficiency and energy sustainability in the field from the generation and use of renewable energies. Search and implementation of measures based on the circular economy that help reduce the carbon footprint of agricultural operations, as well as its accounting, monitoring and neutralization (inclusion of bidirectional automated systems with information on flows, humidity and soil nitrification, installation of sustainable mobility systems in the field, application of technology to measure the use and effectiveness of water, creation of collaborative platforms for the measurement and control of CO2 or preparation of waste recovery studies to avoid the emission of polluting agents).
Innovative solutions that allow comprehensive control of industrial production in the agri-food sector through technological processes and systems that support digital, robotic and collaborative management in the agro-industrial chain (digitization and robotization of processes, performance software for the handling plant, installation of sensors in the factory for data collection, robotization and automation of processes or use of artificial vision sensors to remove the product in poor condition).
Innovative solutions that reduce the environmental impact in agro-industrial processes from the generation of alternative energy in the factory, the use of sustainable materials and the application of processes that promote the reduction of efficiency and the circular economy (reduction of water consumption, cycle control life of agri-food product packaging, investment in new Flow without trays and line adaptations, elimination of paper in different controls by automating the production chain or recirculation of circuits for cooling chambers and tanks).
Solutions, services and processes aimed at automating water in the agri-food sector (use in the field and industrial or production phase) to achieve responsible water management throughout its life cycle (water treatment and reuse of it in processes of irrigation, creation of platforms and technologies to improve the efficiency of irrigation, technological mechanisms for the treatment and management of sludge or monitoring of pipes and water management).
Innovative service tools, products or devices that automate and improve the efficiency of packaging, stocking, storage, shipping or transport processes for agri-food products (geolocation management of locations in cold rooms and warehouses, digitization in dispatch processes, creation of handling lines with implantation in the control and double verification of formats for Flow-pack, palletizers with sustainable technology in design and feeding or weight control to optimize mass balances and monitoring in real time).
Solutions for the commercialization of agri-food products in the sales, payment, auction, insurance and financial product models (direct trade platforms, marketplaces for agro-industrial materials and services, online market, digital insurance throughout the chain of transformation and internationalization of products).
Platforms, technological solutions and tools that improve the traceability of agri-food products from their origin to the final consumer (reporting and regulation management, as well as control and monitoring of the logistics chain of agri-food products).
